The Role
Responsible for managing the HSE elements of renewable and inter-island cable installation projects within the Subsea Services Department across the UK and North West Europe. The successful candidate will provide Health & Safety expertise, supporting a broad range of subcontractors, operational, and technical teams, while coordinating HSE departmental and project-related tasks. There will also be opportunities to support other parts of Subsea Services, including Diving, Environmental, and HV services. The role requires attendance at sites and vessels during periods of project activity.
Principal Responsibilities
* Support the HSEQ company activities in driving the implementation of group policies and procedures within Subsea Services.
* To lead and influence project teams, including suppliers/subcontractors, to act safely and to promote a safety behavioural culture in Subsea Services
* Ensure that contractual and regulatory HSE requirements are implemented across all projects
* Assist in the development of Subsea Service projects documentation including RAMS and other guidance documentation
* Act as the HSEQ first point of contact for Subsea Services
* Carry out a variety of audits across projects and sites during project deliveries.
* Provide advice on HSEQ matters applicable to Subsea Services projects
* Conduct investigations into incidents within Subsea Services to establish causation and corrective measures
* Conduct inductions and supervision of permits to work
* Assist in the compliance with CDM Regulations of onshore and offshore activities.
* Support Group HSEQ on external audits
The Candidate
* Previous experience in site offshore HSE management
* NEBOSH General Certificate, NVQ Level 3 in OHS or equivalent
* Internal Auditor qualification
* Evidence of continued professional development
* Working knowledge of ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001, and ISO 50001
* Membership of IOSH
