Job Description
Senior QS - Residential Cambridge
Ridgeway & Co are proud to be partnering with a leading Residential contractor in Peterborough to find an experienced Quantity Surveyor. This is an opportunity for a skilled professional to join a dynamic team with a competitive salary of up to £100,000 per annum, depending on skills and experience. The role will be solely based within the Cambridgeshire region.
Key Responsibilities:
* Prepare detailed cost estimates for construction projects.
* Conduct feasibility studies and cost-benefit analyses to ensure project viability.
* Monitor project costs, providing regular updates to stakeholders.
* Collaborate with project teams to ensure projects stay within budget.
* Evaluate and negotiate contracts with suppliers and subcontractors.
* Conduct site visits to assess project progress and identify cost-saving opportunities.
* Prepare and submit progress payment claims to clients.
* Assist in resolving disputes or claims related to costs or variations.
* Stay informed about industry trends and regulations related to quantity surveying.
Skills and Qualifications:
* Minimum of 5 years' experience in Quantity Surveying.
* Strong analytical and numerical skills with excellent attention to detail.
* Proficiency in cost estimation techniques and relevant software.
* In-depth knowledge of construction contracts and procurement processes.
* Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
* Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
