The Role
The Project Engineer will support renewable and inter-island cable installation projects within the Subsea Services department around the UK and North West Europe. The successful candidate will coordinate project related tasks whilst providing technical expertise and supporting a broad range of sub-contractors, operation and technical teams. There will also be opportunity to work on other offshore construction projects including transformer installation, blade recovery etc.
Principal Responsibilities
* You are part of the project team delivering major offshore and onshore subsea cable projects.
* Providing engineering input concerning preparation of subsea cable installation methodologies, documents and drawings.
* Responsible for the technical solutions for our cable installation projects.
* Guide internal and external engineering specialist who perform detailed calculations and analysis.
* You identify, engage and manage various subcontractors required to support our operations.
* Attend client meetings and review client supplied documents.
* Work alongside other departments including fleet services, diving, testing and termination and environmental departments.
* You attend vessel mobilisation & de-mobilisations, various site operations including site visits, cable load ins, shore end pull ins and work on the vessels as part of the offshore team.
The Candidate
* Educated to Degree level or equivalent in a relevant discipline – preferably Marine / Engineering / Renewable Energy / Environmental.
* Good analytical skills.
* You have excellent communication and language skills in English (written and spoken).
* You have a hands-on approach, are a strong team player and have professional attitude towards Health & Safety and Environment.
* Willing to work offshore for periods of time as part of the offshore team.
