Job Title: Management Accountant
Location: Canterbury
Job Type: Fixed term contract (initially 3 months) with the possibility of the role being extended and potentially permanent.
Hours of work: Monday to Friday 09:00 - 17:00 (3 days in the office and 2 at home)
Salary: £32,000 per annum (Pro rata)
Our client is looking for a talented and motivated Management Accountant to join their small and friendly team based in Canterbury. As a vital member of the finance department, you will be responsible for supporting the financial management through accurate and timely reporting.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare month-end management accounts, including variance analysis and commentary.
Assist in budgeting and forecasting processes to support decision-making.
Reconcile and analyse financial data to ensure accuracy and compliance with regulations.
Provide financial insights and recommendations to senior management to drive strategic planning.
Assist in the development and implementation of financial policies and procedures.
Collaborate with other departments to ensure financial information is communicated effectively.Qualifications and Skills:
Part-qualified accountant (ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent) with relevant experience in management accounting.
Strong knowledge of month-end processes and management accounts preparation.
Proficient in using accounting software, Sage would be preferred but not essential.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
