Are you prepared to take the next steps in your career by joining one of the UK's leading construction specialists? Are you a subject matter expert for climate action and can execute ESG strategy across a diverse range of operations?
If this sounds like you, then I am delighted to announce that we have been engaged by one of the UK's most prominent construction and civil engineering organisations to recruit an ESG Manager. The role is joining a leading specialist subcontractor with a turnover of circa £300 million that works on hundreds of projects around the UK.
Responsibilities for the ESG Manager include:
Serve as a subject matter expert on climate action, ensuring to guide senior leadership teams on carbon reduction strategies.
Lead in the creation of ESG reports and work alongside the construction team to advise them on matters of social value and CSR for bids
Working closely with and nurturing relationships with key stakeholders involved with projects to develop and deliver social value commitments
Lead on all data collection and analysis and report risks of non-compliance
Complete site walks and conduct audits to identify materials that can be reused and recycled
A Successful ESG Manager candidate will have:
Extensive experience in ESG within the construction industry or a related sector
A degree in a related environment or sustainability field and a member of a certification board such as IEMA or ICRS
A strong ability to build relationships with external stakeholders to help meet strategic objectives
An individual who can operate effectively in challenging situations
A full UK driver's license would be a requirement for this position as some UK travel is required. This is an excellent opportunity to lead a growing and developing social value team. Contact Alex Lee at or (phone number removed).
