Humanities Teacher – Bournemouth Area
Starting January 2025 | Two-Term Contract Until July 2025

Pay: £160 - £230 per day (Dependent on Experience)
About the Role:
Supply Desk is delighted to offer an exciting opportunity for a passionate and qualified Humanities Teacher to join a vibrant mixed secondary school near Bournemouth from January 2025, on a two-term contract running until July 2025. This role offers the chance to make a significant impact on students’ learning across a range of humanities subjects in a dynamic and supportive teaching environment. For the right candidate, there is the potential for the position to become permanent.
As a Humanities Teacher, you will be responsible for delivering engaging and high-quality lessons across Key Stage 3 and 4, ensuring students gain a thorough understanding of various humanities disciplines, including Geography and History. You’ll work closely with the humanities department to support student progress, maintain excellent classroom management, and foster a positive, inclusive atmosphere within the school.

Key Responsibilities:
Plan and deliver engaging Humanities lessons across Key Stage 3 and 4
Ensure the delivery of a challenging, high-quality curriculum across humanities subjects
Maintain effective classroom management and foster a positive and inclusive learning environment
Differentiate lessons to meet the diverse needs of all students
Collaborate with colleagues to contribute to the development of the humanities curriculum
Support students’ academic and personal growth, nurturing their passion for the humanities
Monitor and assess student progress, providing timely feedback to aid their continued development
The Ideal Candidate Will:
Have recent experience teaching Humanities in UK secondary schools
Be passionate about delivering high-quality lessons and supporting student progress
Demonstrate strong classroom management and a genuine enthusiasm for the humanities
Be adaptable and thrive in a collaborative team environment
Possess excellent communication skills and a positive, student-centered approach
Be confident in creating a supportive and engaging classroom atmosphere
Be eager to contribute to the development of the humanities curriculum
