Mechanical Design Engineer - Join a Landmark Project at Hinkley Point C!
Location: Bridgwater
Security Clearance: BPSS
Salary: £40,000 - £55,000

Join our team on the Hinkley 'C' Common Building Services project, where you'll create and implement mechanical design solutions that drive efficiency, safety, and sustainability. What You'll Do
Design Implementation: Develop and deliver temporary mechanical building services designs, ensuring integration and compliance with project standards.
Collaboration & Compliance: Coordinate with the Principal Designer and Principal Contractor for compliance with CDM requirements and regulatory codes.
Documentation & Review: Produce specifications, datasheets, and detailed design documentation; review vendor documents to ensure technical alignment with project needs.
Risk Management: Prepare design risk assessments, communicate residual risks, and provide solutions that enhance safety and efficiency.
Technical Support & Innovation: Offer expert technical support, drive continuous improvement, and maintain relationships with consultants and suppliers.
What You'll Bring
Qualifications: Minimum HNC/HND in Mechanical Building Services.
Technical Expertise: Skilled in AutoCAD for duct and pipe system design, plus solid knowledge of industry codes and CDM regulatory requirements.
Collaboration Skills: Strong team player with effective communication skills, able to work closely with designers, project teams, and clients.
