Overview
Options Resourcing Ltd are actively recruiting for two experienced Floor Layers to assist on an existing project for a contractor in Birmingham, West Midlands.

Duties

• Measure and cut flooring materials to fit designated areas accurately
• Install vinyl, and carpet flooring
• Prepare subfloors by cleaning, levelling, and repairing as necessary
• Utilise hand tools and power tools effectively to complete installations
• Read and interpret schematics to ensure precise installation according to specifications
• Collaborate with team members to ensure timely project completion while maintaining quality standards
• Conduct final inspections of completed work to ensure it meets company standards and client expectations
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment, adhering to health and safety regulations

Experience

• Proven experience as a Floor Layer or in a similar role within the construction industry is essential
• Familiarity with various types of flooring materials and installation techniques is highly desirable
• Proficient in using hand tools and power tools related to flooring installation
• Experience in carpentry or building is advantageous, providing a solid foundation for flooring work
• Knowledge of painting techniques may be beneficial for finishing touches on installations
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to work independently or as part of a team
