Senior Quantity Surveyor - Social Housing

£65,000 - £75,000 + Package
About the Role:
Our Client is seeking a skilled and experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to join their team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in the successful delivery of new build social housing projects, providing accurate cost estimates, managing project budgets, and ensuring value for money.
Key Responsibilities of the Senior Quantity Surveyor –
* Prepare detailed cost plans and estimates for social housing projects
* Monitor project costs and identify potential cost savings
* Manage variations and claims
* Prepare and submit interim and final accounts
* Liaise with clients, contractors, and other stakeholders
* Conduct site visits to assess progress and identify potential issues
* Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and standards
The Ideal Senior Quantity Surveyor –
* Relevant degree or equivalent qualification in Quantity Surveying or a related field
* Proven experience in quantity surveying within the social housing sector
* Strong knowledge of construction contracts (e.g., JCT, NEC)
* Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills
* Proficiency in construction software (e.g., Excel, CostX, Asite)
