Role Description

Blueberry Systems is looking for an Account Manager, a crucial role in expanding our customer base by identifying and acquiring new business opportunities. The position requires a proactive approach to prospecting, relationship-building, and presenting tailored solutions to meet the unique needs of potential clients. As an Account Manager, you will have the opportunity to lead customer engagements, understand their requirements and adopt a consultative approach to help them reach their technology goals.
This role is responsible for maintaining the existing customers, promoting client satisfaction and actively pursuing new business opportunities. It will also focus on building new relationships and becoming a trusted source of technological innovation as well as identifying gaps that could lead to new projects.
This is a pro-active role within Blueberry Systems, requiring a high level of initiative and ownership to drive activities and engagements.
Position
Essential:
* Client Relationship Management and Account Management skills.
* 2+ years’ experience within Software Development organisation in a similar role.
* Understanding of business processes and functions of a software development business.
* Ability to work independently and remotely, with a proactive approach.
* Experience in the IT industry or related field.
* UK resident or suitable VISA to work in the UK.
* Full UK driving license.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
* Strong commercial acumen.
* Strong desire to succeed.
Desirable (but not essential):
* Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, Business, or related field.
* Strong understanding of software development processes and approaches.
* Project management experience.
* Sales Targets and quota management experience.
* CRM use experience.
Key Responsibilities
New Business Development:
* Identify and prospect new business opportunities.
* Conduct market research to understand industry trends and customer needs.
* Develop and implement effective sales strategies to acquire new clients.
Customer Engagement:
* Build and nurture strong relationships with existing Blueberry customers.
* Conduct solution presentations and articulate the value proposition
* Collaborate with internal teams to ensure a seamless transition from prospecting to onboarding.
Sales Cycle Management:
* Manage the end-to-end sales process, from lead qualification to deal closure.
* Prepare and deliver compelling proposals and presentations.
* Negotiate contracts and agreements to secure new business partnerships.
Revenue Growth:
* Meet and exceed sales targets by consistently driving new business opportunities.
* Work collaboratively with the existing teams to identify upsell and cross-sell opportunities within the client base.

Working Hours
This is a full-time hybrid role at Blueberry Systems Ltd. This role includes both on-site work in Gloucester and Birmingham, remote (home based) and the expectation of frequent travel to customer locations.
Work patterns are based around standard working weeks (7.5 hours per day, plus lunch, between 8:30am and 5:30pm) with some room for flexibility as required.
