Senior Quantity Surveyor

Job Description
We are working with a consultancy that is looking for an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join their team at Senior level. The role can be based in either their Northallerton or Otley offices, with additional travel to sites as required.
About the Role:
As a Quantity Surveyor, you will use your expertise to manage projects throughout their lifecycle. Your responsibilities will include:
* Preparing estimates, cost plans, and tender documentation.
* Administering contracts (typically JCT and NEC) and providing contractual advice.
* Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams.
* Producing Schedule of Works and Bills of Quantities.
* Preparing monthly financial cost reports and cashflow forecasts.
* Attending site meetings and maintaining positive client relationships.
You will join a busy, professional team that consistently delivers results and encourages continuous improvement. There are opportunities for career development, along with mentoring and supporting junior team members.
Essential Skills & Qualifications:
* Degree in Quantity Surveying or a relevant field, with post-degree experience.
* RICS-qualified (or working towards MRICS status).
* Proficient in industry-standard contracts, such as JCT and NEC.
* Strong pre- and post-contract experience.
* Commercial awareness and experience in cost forecasting, reporting, and risk management.
* Background in sectors such as education, health, or housing.
* Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
* Full, clean UK driving licence and willingness to travel.
