Head Chef - Rural Pub Restaurant - Okehampton outskirts - £35,000pa
Our clients pride their selves on providing local, seasonal, British cuisine to their customers. They're looking for a full time Head chef to join their expanding team. Ideally you will have experience of working with high quality fresh ingredients and understand the importance of producing a seasonal menu cooked to order. The menu and specials board will have regular changes to reflect this. Our clients have worked hard over recent years to build the reputation for food and service and we are looking to take the business to the next level with aspirations to achieve rewards and accolades. You will cater for up to 60 guests serving dishes during breakfast, lunch and dinner in their traditional country inn.You will have overall responsibility for running the kitchen to include, menu writing, ordering, stock control and maintaining 64%GP. You will also have responsibility for making sure the kitchen is maintained in a clean, hygienic and safe manner, including basic kitchen duties to maintain the 5-star food hygiene rating!
You should have excellent organisational skills, the flexibility and adaptability to work alone or in a small team and be calm and methodical under times of pressure in a busy service still with an eye for detail.
Working Hours invites varying shift patterns over a 5 day working week. The facilities are modern and well equipped offering opportunity for creativity.
