Job Summary: Mechanical Maintenance Engineer
Location: Worcester
Contract Type: Commercial Building
Salary: £34,000 - £36,000
Working Hours: Monday – Friday (8:00 AM - 5:00 PM)
On-Call Allowance: £180
Key Responsibilities:
1.
Preventative Maintenance:
* Conduct regular inspections and preventive maintenance on mechanical systems, including HVAC, boilers, pumps, and other building infrastructure.
2.
Fault Diagnosis and Repair:
* Troubleshoot and repair mechanical failures efficiently to minimize downtime.
3.
Compliance:
* Ensure all work complies with health and safety regulations and building standards.
4.
Documentation:
* Maintain accurate records of work carried out, including maintenance schedules and repair logs.
5.
Team Collaboration:
* Work closely with other engineers and building management teams to coordinate tasks and respond to urgent issues.
Essential Requirements:
* NVQ Level 3 in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent qualification.
* Proven experience in mechanical maintenance within commercial buildings.
* Familiarity with HVAC, plumbing, and building management systems.
* Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently.
* Full UK driving license (if travel to multiple sites is required).
