Associate Mechanical Engineer – Central London – Fantastic Benefits – up to £80k
We are currently seeking an ambitious and skilled Associate Mechanical Design Engineer to join an established and highly reputable design consultancy, based in Central London. As a leader in design and engineering, their diverse team work on some of the most prestigious and innovative projects in the UK and across the world.
From sustainability-focused offices and commercial premises to innovative healthcare facilities and from award-winning retail developments to major new residential communities, you will have the opportunity to play a key role in delivering schemes across a vast range of sectors.
As an Associate you will be involved in multiple projects with a varied workload and the autonomy to work individually but will also assist in planning and managing an appropriate resource to deliver projects. Reporting to Regional Director and/or Senior Associate, you will provide support in delivering projects effectively to strict deadlines, whilst maintaining technical performance standards.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and manage the mechanical team on assigned projects, ensuring all mechanical aspects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the required standard.
Ensure compliance with industry and client-specific standards, codes of practice, and regulations.
Act as the go-to person for technical queries and provide advice and support to team members, clients, and contractors.
Manage and monitor project budgets, ensuring cost-effective solutions are delivered.
Prepare and review technical reports, specifications, and drawings.
Assist with business development activities and support proposals.
Key Requirements
Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline.
Chartered Engineer or working towards chartership.
Proven experience in mechanical design within data centre and/or healthcare sectors.
Strong knowledge of mechanical design principles, codes, and standards.
Experience in managing and leading a team of engineers.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with clients, stakeholders, and team members.
Be reliable and have a responsible attitude to work
Shall have a good commercial awareness and judgement
