Job Description

Are you comfortable being a service engineer on call and ready to tackle complex challenges?
If you thrive on being the go-to person in critical moments, often referred to as superman or superwoman this might be the perfect role for you.

We’re on the lookout for an Automation/Control Systems Service Engineer to join a growing 24/7 service team supporting UK manufacturers across sectors like food & beverage, automotive, metals, and power.

What’s in it for you as service engineer?

Here they recognise the effort you put in, so we ensure it’s rewarded:

£35-45k starting salary plus a £10k allowance.
This role is remote, but will be required to go into the office, when required.
On-call allowances & overtime pay for those extra hours.
A company vehicle to support your work on the go.
A family-first approach to shifts…flexible scheduling around your 39-hour week. If you’ve worked a night shift, your diary can adjust to give you the time you need.
4% + 4% salary sacrifice pension scheme.
Healthcare cash plan with GP helpline.
A tech scheme for that new gadget you or a family member has been eyeing up.
Cycle to work scheme.
25 days holiday plus bank holidays.
The pride you will feel for joining a business whose leaders are front & centre in driving UK Manufacturing change.
The role… every day is different; you’ll be the problem solver keeping critical systems up and running.

Here’s what your day could look like:

Providing 24/7 callout support on a rota basis for urgent breakdowns.
Performing scheduled maintenance, troubleshooting, and upgrades on PLCs, SCADA systems & drives.
Handling software programming, hardware integration, and installations.
Leading projects through design, testing, and commissioning.
Conducting system health checks and contributing to tenders and quotes.

What you bring to the team as service engineer?

You are an engineer who’s hands-on, proactive, and ready to hit the ground running.

Your qualifications will look something like this: HNC, City & Guilds III, or equivalent in electrical, maintenance, or mechatronics.

Experience with systems like Bosch, Siemens, Rockwell, or others will mean you can hit the ground from day one.

A knack for problem-solving, the ability to work independently along with your communication skills are what make you the best in your field.

You’ll be part of a resilient team that doesn’t back down from a challenge.

With decades of experience to tap into, you’ll grow your skills while making a real impact.

This is the role for someone who thrives on variety, enjoys solving problems, and wants to be part of something meaningful.
