Senior Care Assistant in Birmingham
£12.74ph with paid breaks - Full time contracted
Days available - Mixture of short and long shifts
My client based in Birmingham are a fantastic, medium sized, residential care home that specialise in providing high-quality care to their elderly residents with physical disabilities.
Their mission is to provide the highest quality of life, through high standards of care, daily fulfillment, love, and most of all, compassion. They understand how important it is for their residents to keep their independence and dignity and provide each resident with their own en-suite bathroom and have a beautiful courtyard area where they can relax, and enjoy the fresh air.
They now seeking an experienced and motivated individual to join their team as a Senior Care Assistant on a permanent contract on days.
Requirements of the Senior Care Assistant Role:
* Excellent communication and written skills
* Previous experience as a senior care assistant, ideally in a care home setting
* NVQ3 or higher in Health & Social Care
* Medication Trained
Responsibilities as a Senior Care Assistant:
* Assist clients with personal care tasks, such as washing, dressing, eating and toileting
* Liasing with GPs, healthcare professionals, and families
* Managing the care team and ensuring staff are adhering to CQC Guidlines
* Providing handovers to the night senior care assistants
* Provide exceptional leves of care to residents
* Assist with medication, care plans, and risk assessments
* Understanding of CQC regulations and DoLs
