Job Description
Job Title: Senior Construction Manager – High-Rise Student Accommodation
Location: Stratford, London
Salary: Negotiable DOE
Employment Type: Full-time
Leadership & Coordination: Direct and manage on-site construction activities, leading a team of site managers, engineers, and subcontractors.
Programme Management: Oversee the construction programme to ensure milestones are met, and adjust strategies as needed.
Stakeholder Collaboration: Liaise with project stakeholders, including the project manager, contractors, suppliers, and regulatory bodies.
Health & Safety Compliance: Champion a culture of safety on-site, ensuring compliance with all health, safety, and environmental regulations.
Quality Control: Monitor workmanship and materials to ensure compliance with design specifications and industry standards.
Problem Solving: Proactively identify and resolve challenges to minimize delays and maintain progress.
Reporting: Provide detailed updates on progress, risks, and resource allocation to senior management.
Requirements
Extensive experience as a Senior Construction Manager or similar leadership role on high-rise or large-scale projects.
Proven track record in managing the construction of residential or student accommodation developments.
Strong knowledge of UK construction regulations, building codes, and industry standards.
Exceptional leadership and team management skills, with a collaborative approach to problem-solving.
Ability to manage complex project logistics and resolve challenges in a high-pressure environment.
Proficiency in construction management software and tools.
Relevant qualifications in construction management, civil engineering, or a related field. SMSTS certification is required.
