Job Description
White Label is representing an engineering and manufacturing business in Keighley who are looking to bolster their engineering team by hiring a Project Engineer.
My client is offering a package of £40,000 - £50,000 + healthcare, pension, 29 days holiday and more.
The role is based at their head office in Keighley with the working hours being Monday – Thursday 08:30 – 17:00 and Friday 08:30 –16.15 with 45 minutes for lunch.
Duties of the Project Engineer
• Working closely with both internal and external project and resource teams to drive projects from inception to completion through a stage gate process.
• Ensuring that the scope of work is defined both internally and externally with the client.
• Risk registry and risk control within the project scope and creating mitigation plans for biggest risks to successful project delivery.
• Communicating project status and progress to internal and external stakeholders.
• Managing the scope of projects to achieve assigned milestones and deliverables.
• Management of variations and change orders during project lifecycle.
• Monitoring and reporting on project performance to the senior team.
• Participating with engineering, contractors and vendors for contract and deliverable negotiations.
Key outcomes of the Project Engineer
1) Planning – Assist with planning job orders and ensuring data accuracy,
2) Communication – Act as a liaison between customers and internal design and production teams, keeping stakeholders updated,
3) Technical Accuracy – Ensure project information of accurate and projects are commercially correct,
4) Project Management – Organise projects to meet customer requirements and ensure on-time delivery,
5) Customer Service – Manage customer expectations and provide good customer service.
Experience required of the Project Engineer
• Detailed knowledge and experience of Microsoft Dynamics Finance and Operations
• Experience in running projects within the engineering sector.
• Someone who is a strong planner, organiser, and communicator.
• A strong negotiator who can challenge others when required.
• Someone who can build relationships with stakeholders at all levels within a business.
