Risk and Compliance Lawyer - Part Time
£50,000-£60,000 FTE
Position Type: Part-time, permanent, ideally 2/3 days per week, maximum of 21 hours. Our client can be flexible with days and hours if necessary.

Summary:
Our client, a dynamic and innovative Law firm, are seeking a talented individual to join their Risk & Compliance team.
As a Risk & Compliance Lawyer, you will play a crucial role in assisting with complaints, GDPR/DSARs, Anti-Money Laundering queries, and regulatory risks. If you have a keen eye for detail, strong IT skills, and previous experience in a professional services environment, this could be the perfect role for you.

Responsibilities:
Support the Partner, Risk & Compliance on various projects.
Horizon scan for AML and GDPR issues and identify updates required on the firm's policies and procedures.
Identify compliance training needs and arrange whole firm compliance training.
Deal with complaints from clients and liaise with Heads of Department.
Take direction from our Partner, Risk & Compliance on any tasks that must be completed.
Monitor the implementation of new projects and procedures from a data privacy perspective.
Assist with training programmes as needed.
Assist with internal audits.
Produce reports for the firm's renewal of PI and cyber policies.
Assist with the management and monitoring of continued compliance with relevant legislation.Requirements:
Keen eye for detail.
Strong IT skills including Word, Excel, Outlook, and Teams.
Provision of high levels of client service.
Effective verbal and written communication skills.
Strong time management skills and self-motivation.
Ability to work independently and also be a team player.
Sharp critical thinking skills.
Capable researcher.
Previous experience in a professional services environment/legal environment.
Solicitor or legally qualified.
Experience in legal compliance and/or litigation is desirable.Benefits:
