MECHANICAL SITE TECHNICIAN
DCT Recruitment are seeking for an experienced Mechanical site technician to join our team in the Shotton Paper Mill Project.
Responsibilities:
• Install, maintain, and repair mechanical systems and equipment on-site, including HVAC, plumbing, and machinery.
• Diagnose and resolve mechanical issues efficiently, utilizing technical knowledge and tools.
• Conduct regular inspections and preventive maintenance on mechanical systems to ensure optimal performance and compliance with safety standards.
• Work closely with other site technicians, engineers, and contractors to coordinate tasks and optimise workflow.
• Prepare and submit detailed reports on maintenance activities, equipment performance, and potential improvements to management.
• Ensure all work is carried out in compliance with relevant health, safety, and environmental regulations.
Qualifications:
• NVQ/SVQ Level 2 or 3 in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
• HNC/HND in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent is often preferred.
• Relevant certifications, such as City & Guilds or equivalent qualifications in mechanical systems and maintenance.
• Previous experience in mechanical maintenance or installation roles, preferably in a site or industrial environment.
• Experience with specific equipment or systems relevant to the industry (e.g., HVAC, plumbing, machinery).
• Availability to work Monday to Friday from 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM.
• Valid equivalent CSCS Card.
