Job Description
We are actively seeking an experienced Bookkeeper to join our dynamic team. As the Bookkeeper, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the seamless operation of our Finance Department, providing critical support, and optimising overall operational efficiency. Data entry: Recording financial transactions and balancing the books. Bank reconciliation: Cross-referencing the books against bank statements and other source documents to confirm accuracy. Accounts receivable (and credit control): Creating and sending invoices and following up to get them paid. Accounts payable: Capturing invoices from suppliers and ensuring they are accurate and paid in a timely manner. Processing month-end journals: accruals; income received in advance, depreciation, etc. Maintaining the fixed asset register. Maintaining the accounting system (SAGE). Monitoring financial details to ensure legal compliance. Processing and loading payments. Preparing supporting information and schedules required by the auditors. Preparing all information required for BEE audit. Maintaining accurate filing and record keeping system for all financial statements and company documents. Participates in the execution of changes to procedures, policies, and systems to facilitate expansion, compliance, and scaling of the business. Backup HR - EE Annual submissions to Dept of Labour Backup HR SETA Training submissions Backup HR - travel arrangements Assistance HR Company Functions / Events Requirements QUALIFICATIONS BCom degree OR national certificate in bookkeeping or some sort of Finance Courses EXPERIENCE 3-5 years experience in finance (Experience more important than qualification) Salary: -R400 000pa CTC
