Job Description

Our client in the commercial fishing industry is seeking an experienced Production Supervisor to join their team Job type: Permanent, on-site Job Location: Port Elizabeth/Gqeberha Duties and Responsibilities The Production Supervisor guarantees that manufacturing remains a smooth and efficient process by monitoring employees and organizing workflow. The supervisor will be multi-skilled, capable to work in different processing areas/lines and adapt to different processes. Products and processes will change over the time; therefore, the supervisor must be able to adjust to the new environments quickly. Be able to control and manage the different areas inside the production Minimum Requirements: Grade 12 Minimum 1-2 years’ Supervisory Experience Supervisory Certificate or Supervisory Skills Programme - Advantageous Minimum 3-5 years’ experience within a production manufacturing or processing in cold production environment Knowledge of production processes Knowledge of food safety and related industry legislation Knowledge of efficiency best practices Knowledge of Labour legislation (BCEA & LRA) Communication skills in English Good knowledge of Mathematics, especially for understanding and measuring the different KPI (hourly production, inputs, yields, activity etc.). Knowledge of HACCP (Hazard analysis and critical control points). Understand the importance of processing products efficiently, quickly, safe and with excellent quality level.
