Quantity Surveyor (Sub Contractor)
Location: Manchester
Role Type: Permanent
Salary: £50,000 - £70,000+ Package
About the Role:
A leading construction company is seeking a skilled and experienced Quantity Surveyor with a strong focus on sub-contracting projects to join their team in Manchester. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the commercial aspects of projects, including cost control, value engineering, and contract administration.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare detailed cost plans and estimates
Monitor project costs and identify potential cost savings
Manage variations and claims
Prepare and submit interim and final accounts
Liaise with clients, contractors, and other stakeholders
Conduct site visits to assess progress and identify potential issues
Ensure compliance with contract terms and conditionsAbout You:
To be successful in this role, you will need to possess the following qualifications and experience:
Relevant degree or equivalent qualification in Quantity Surveying or a related field
Proven experience in quantity surveying
Strong knowledge of construction contracts (e.g., JCT, NEC)
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
