Behaviour Mentor - Secondary School (Greenwich)
Start Date: Immediate
Contract: Full-time, Long-term (until the end of the academic year)
Location: Greenwich, London
Pay: Dependent on experience
We are seeking a dedicated and motivated Behaviour Mentor to join our vibrant, supportive secondary school in Greenwich. This is a fantastic opportunity to work with students who require additional support with behaviour management and to make a positive difference to their educational experience.
Key Responsibilities:
Support students in managing their behaviour and emotions in both classroom and social settings.
Work closely with teaching staff to implement behavioural support strategies and interventions.
Provide one-to-one and small group support to students exhibiting challenging behaviour.
Monitor and track student progress, providing regular feedback to teachers and leadership teams.
Act as a positive role model, promoting inclusion, resilience, and respect among students.
Liaise with parents, carers, and external agencies to ensure effective support for students.
Assist in the creation and implementation of personalised learning plans and behavioural strategies.Requirements:
Previous experience working with children or young people, ideally in an educational setting.
A DBS check on the Update Service (or willingness to undergo one).
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, staff, and parents.
A calm, patient, and proactive approach to working with young people.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
