About the Role
We have an exciting opportunity for a Product Manager to join our Category Management team.
This role will focus on our Wall systems, and you will have responsibility for our Timber Frame products and Brick Slips portfolio.
Youll work closely with external partners, Sales, Marketing, Customer Support, Supply Chain, Sustainability and Technical to provide a clear vision around the development and implementation of the portfolio plans.
You will also use your analysis of our trading performance to make recommendations and to take actions to improve performance, alongside the ongoing development and implementation of our market penetration strategy for these products.
Duties also include:
- utilise your product knowledge and expertise to act as first level support to your colleagues
- ensure the accuracy of product data across all company platforms
- be responsible for the life cycle management for designated product lines
- develop and deliver a programme of new products and services and the introduction of new products into the marketplace
- define and execute a rolling 2-year Product Portfolio Plan which will deliver the Annual Sales Budget
- adhere to the annual Category Management governance model
- support the Category Manager to define and execute the business strategy, idea generation and innovation via a rolling 5-year Category Plans
- work closely with Group Product Managers to ensure alignment, synergies and to share best practice
The role is based from our Head Office in Cheadle. We do work with hybrid working options available to support some home working throughout the week.
You will be required to travel across the UK on an ad-hoc basis. A company car/allowance is provided.
Hours of Work: Monday to Friday, 9.00am to 5.00pm
About You
You will be an established Product Manager with experience working within a Category Management team. Youll ideally have experience in the construction industry, building materials, or related technologies. If not, then youll have experience with manufactured products and a keen interest in learning about our sector.
Naturally innovative, youll have an entrepreneurial mindset, passionate about developing products and spotting opportunities in the market.
Youll also have/be
- Product Management experience
- Strong stakeholder management skills
- Excellent communication (both written and verbal)
- Ability to influence stakeholders
- Market sensing skills ability to capture the voice of the customer (VOC) and translate it into value-adding product initiatives
- A pro-active, can-do attitude
- Analytical skills ability to identify key trends and analyse market data using tools like Excel
- Effective team player
- Full UK driving license and flexibility to travel on an ad-hoc basis
