Yard Operative

We are currently looking for a Yard Operative to join our team in Westerleigh. Reporting to the Hygiene Manager you will play an important part of ensuring the Yard operations are efficient, running smoothly and kept clean at all times.

Working Hours:

Key responsibilities include:

• Loading/offloading goods/containers/pallets and any other equipment as required.
• Ensure that all goods, containers and pallets are stored in a tidy manner and are accessible at all times.
• Ensure safe continued operation of all equipment designated to the areas of responsibility.
• Carry out frequent audits of condition of areas of responsibility and report any damage or repair requirements immediately to the Hygiene Manager.
• To ensure that any equipment/goods issued to any customer/haulier is recorded in keeping with the management systems in place.
• To ensure all documentation and records are completed in full.
• To ensure the level of tidiness in the Rear Yard, Lairage Yard and CAT2/3 blood system loading bay following the 5S approach to audit standards at all times.
