Position: Teaching Assistant ( fixed term contract until August 2025, with possibility to extend)
Location: Church Fenton, North Yorkshire
Hours: 37.5 hours per week, term time
Salary Details: £20,203.80 per annum
We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic, inspiring and skilled SEND Teaching Assistant to work in Independent Fenton Grange school.
Who we are:
Cambian Fenton Grange School, an independent DfE-registered school. We provide high quality specialist education for up to 20 students, who have experienced trauma through having been involved in or at high risk of Child Sexual Exploitation. The pupils in our school exhibit a range of challenging behaviours and associated learning and communication difficulties.

Successful candidates will be part of a large supportive team of like-minded professionals who provide targeted education support. This is a unique opportunity to work collaboratively with trained, qualified professionals from across our team to support a successful educational organisation.
As a Teaching Assistant you will:
Supervise and support students in both the classroom and off site in the community.
Effectively assist the teacher to plan learning activities.
Build and maintain positive professional relationships with staff and young people.
Encourage and motivate students to learn and develop.
Ability to demonstrate good communication skills including the ability to clarify and explain instructions clearly.
Support students in small group and on a 1-2-1 basis.
To enable students to participate in learning activities by providing support, as appropriate for their specific difficulties.
Produce legible, accurate and prompt written reports/records.
To help students access the national curriculum including developing their literacy and numeracy skills.We are looking for a Teaching Assistant who is:
