Job Description

The purpose of a Lead Business Central Engineer (BCE) is multifaceted and involves several key responsibilities. The Lead BCE is responsible for leading, mentoring, and developing a team of application specialists. This includes fostering a culture of continuous improvement and excellence. A major part of the role is to oversee the implementation and integration of 4PS Construct with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central, ensuring seamless data flow and system functionality.
The Lead BCE ensures that the Business Central solution is optimised to meet the organisation's needs, while also supporting and developing the team and fostering strong stakeholder relationships.
Stakeholder Management is a major part of this role, collaborating with key stakeholders across various departments to understand their data needs and provide solutions that support their goals.
The Lead BCE will be seen as the system expert and so is a pivotal in ICT in driving adoption in technologies and the stability of systems.
About you
Education: Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a relevant commercial experience.
Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience working with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central, with a strong understanding of 4PS Construct. Previous leadership experience is highly desirable.
Technical Skills: Proficiency in system integration, customisation, and configuration. Experience with SQL, Power BI, and other relevant technologies is a plus.
Technical Expertise: Stay updated with the latest features and updates in Business Central.
Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot complex system issues.
Finance Systems Experience: Proven experience with finance systems, ensuring robust financial management and reporting capabilities within the integrated solution.
Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical users.
Team Player: Ability to work effectively in a team environment and collaborate with various stakeholders.
Leadership: Proven ability to lead and develop a team, fostering a culture of excellence.
