HSEQ Manager Position
About the Company:
Our client is a leading Tier 2 Civil Construction and Engineering Contractor, partnering with industry giants including Balfour Beatty, Costain, Galliford Try, and VINCI. With a strong reputation for delivering quality projects and ambitious growth plans for 2025, they are seeking a dynamic HSEQ Manager to join their team and drive excellence in health, safety, environmental, and quality standards across their projects.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop, implement, and monitor HSEQ policies, procedures, and systems to ensure compliance with industry standards, including ISO certifications (ISO 9001, 14001, 45001).
Manage Achilles audits and ensure continuous accreditation compliance.
Conduct risk assessments, quality inspections, and site audits to promote a culture of safety and operational excellence.
Provide expert advice and training to project teams on HSEQ matters, fostering a proactive safety and quality mindset.
Collaborate with stakeholders across the business to identify areas for improvement and implement best practices.
Ensure all projects meet statutory and contractual HSEQ obligations.
Produce detailed reports, statistics, and recommendations for management.
Regular travel to UK-wide sites (approximately once per month), including locations in Birmingham, Blackpool, Carline, and York.Key Requirements:
Proven experience as an HSEQ Manager in the civil construction or engineering industry.
Strong understanding of ISO standards and audit processes.
Knowledge and experience with Achilles compliance systems.
Exceptional communication, leadership, and organisational skills.
Ability to influence and engage teams to achieve high HSEQ standards.
Full UK driving license and willingness to travel as required.
Resides within a 1-hour commute to Scunthorpe area.What's on Offer:
