Occupational Therapist (Aids & Adaptations)
Full time locum contract
£37p/h
Immediate start
Our Local Authority Client are recruiting an Occupational Therapist to support their team across Manchester on a locum basis initially.
You'll carry out functional assessments for disabled children across the city who have both physical and hidden disabilities. These assessments will take place in the child's home, and sometimes at school as part of an MDT approach.
Key responsibilities:
You will be expected to carry a caseload and to case manage each allocation.
Identify equipment and adaptations that will promote the child's independence this will include postural seating, specialist equipment such as shower chairs, beds, moving and handling risk assessments, safe spaces, padded rooms and safety assessments.
Make submissions to majors panel for adaptations.Requirements:
Have a degree in Occupational Therapy and be registered with the HCPC.
