Job Description
Purpose: A strong individual is needed in the SHEQ department to ensure that work is performed to the highest and required standards and to ensure that a suitable integrated SHEQ Management System (SHEQ-MS) is implemented, audited and maintained. Main Responsibilities: The ideal candidate will be a high performing SHEQ Manager, who will be responsible for, but not limited, to the following: Discuss quality requirements per job Excellent computer skills with the ability to draft QCPs / ITPs and Data books Conduct quality assessments and inspections on jobs to ensure conformance Compile inspection Reports for Clients and internal senior management Conduct workshop and site inspections Conduct corrosion assessments when required Investigate customer and supplier non-conformances Conduct quality tests (coating, blasting, rubber-pull tests etc.) and compile reports Conduct Hazard Identification and Risk Assessments Conduct incident investigations Ensure SHE legal compliance Compile relevant SHEQ procedures, Supply training to employees, Implement, maintain and audit the ISO9001:2015 QMS Implement, maintain and audit the ISO45001:2015 OHSMS Ensure proper administration Required Qualifications: Minimum NACE CIP Level 2 SACPCMP registration SHE qualifications Legal liability SAMTRAC advantage Implementation, maintenance and auditing of ISO9001:2015 advantage Implementation, maintenance and auditing of ISO45001:2015 advantage Required Experience: Minimum 3 years experience as a quality inspector Minimum 3 years experience in the construction industry Conducting HIRAs Compile Safety Files Investigation of non-conformances ISO9001:2015 ISO45011:2015 Technical Skills: Advanced Computer Literacy (MS Office Word, Excel, PowerPoint & MS Project) Ability to read and interpret Data Sheets Ability to read and interpret quality requirements and standards Required Skills: Leadership skills Excellent quality orientation skills Excellent planning skills Excellent communication and report-writing skills Excellent assertiveness skills Analytical skills with a problem-solving attitude Be able to work under pressure Valid and unendorsed drivers licence Behavioural Attributes: Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills Building relationships Persuasiveness Contributing to team success Initiative Integrity Attention to detail Honest, responsible and accountable
