Job Description

United Living are recruiting for a Civil Engineer to join our growing Major Projects team to provide engineering support for major infrastructure projects. This is a project role, based at our head office at Warrington and requiring travel to work at site and from our designers office in London.

All of the projects being developed are Nationally Significant Infrastructure projects across the UK, the first being a Carbon Capture Pipeline in the North West commencing from January 2025.

Duties & Responsibilities:

Design and Development:

Lead the design and development of excavations, structures and other civil elements.
Ensure designs meet industry standards, safety regulations, and client specifications.
Utilize CAD software to create detailed civil design drawings and specifications.‍ Project Management:

Manage multiple elements of the project from conception to completion, ensuring timely delivery within budget.
Develop project plans, schedules, and budgets, and monitor progress against these plans.
Coordinate with clients, vendors, and internal teams to ensure project requirements are met.️ System Functionality:

Conduct system functionality assessments to ensure optimal performance of the designed systems.
Identify and resolve issues related to system integration, performance, and reliability.
Implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance system efficiency and effectiveness.‍ Technical Expertise:

Provide technical guidance and support to junior engineers and other team members.
Stay updated with the latest industry trends, technologies, and best practices.
Conduct feasibility studies and risk assessments for new projects and technologies. Documentation and Reporting:

Prepare and maintain detailed project documentation, including design specifications, test plans, and progress reports.
Present project updates and technical findings to stakeholders and senior management
