Job Description
Anderselite are hiring for a Freelance Senior Project manager to lead the delivery of projects within the AMP8 framework. This role requires a dynamic professional with proven experience in project management, a strong understanding of NEC contracts, and a commitment to excellence in health, safety, and environmental standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage all aspects of project delivery, including programme schedules, financial performance, health and safety compliance, environmental impact, and overall progress.
- Provide leadership and development to staff at all levels, supporting recruitment, mentoring, and retention of key personnel.
- Maintain professional relationships with senior client representatives.
- Ensure multiple concurrent projects are delivered successfully, meeting KPIs, PI targets, and financial objectives.
- Oversee compliance with current health and safety regulations, including CDM and environmental legislation.
- Review and approve in-house and subcontractor RAMS, Process Impact Assessments, and other compliance documents.
- Lead project teams, assigning clear roles, responsibilities, and objectives.
- Support regional managers with resource allocation and direct labour utilisation.
- Manage financial performance across the project portfolio, including profit and loss accountability.
- Produce project performance reports and participate in monthly financial and programme reviews.
- Ensure accurate and timely completion of contract documentation, price variations, and final accounts.
- Prepare detailed project programmes with input from the project planner, ensuring milestones are met.
- Collaborate with tendering, design, and procurement teams to align resources and meet client requirements.
- Drive procurement of plant, materials, and subcontractors, ensuring best value and timely delivery.
- Coordinate project testing, commissioning, and client training activities.
- Attend internal and external progress meetings, site visits, and reviews.
- Ensure all project close-out documentation, such as as-built drawings and O&M manuals, meets client and company standards.
About You
- Possess an industry-relevant ONC/HNC/BEng or NVQ equivalent qualification.
- Hold health and safety qualifications (IOSH or SMSTS preferred).
- CSCS cardholder.
- Demonstrable experience with NEC suite of contracts.
- Previous experience in the water or sewage industries.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and project management tools.
- Strong leadership and teamwork skills with the ability to manage a busy workload effectively.
- Excellent communication skills across email, phone, and face-to-face interactions.
- A proactive, solution-focused mindset with the ability to make decisions confidently.
