Job Description

Our client, a major player in the energy, nuclear, and oil & gas sectors, is currently seeking a highly skilled Coded Welder for a contract role. This challenging position requires expertise in MMA welding across various materials and thicknesses.

Key Responsibilities:

Performing welding tasks as per the BS EN ISO 9606-1 standard
Utilising the MMA / 111 welding process
Ensuring welds are executed on materials with a thickness above 3mm
Executing Butt Welds and Fillet Welds in all positions except PG (Vertical Down)
Maintaining a high standard of workmanship and safety compliance
Working collaboratively within a team to meet project deadlines
Must have exact NVQ or City and Guilds certs as mentioned in matrix. (This might be relaxed depending on experience)

Job Requirements:

Certification in accordance with BS EN ISO 9606-1
Competency in MMA welding processes for both plate and pipe
Ability to weld materials with a thickness greater than 3mm
Flexibility to work in various positions excluding PG (Vertical Down)
CCNSG certification
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
Capability to work 10/4 days, generally from 07:00 to 18:00 Monday to Friday and 07:00 to 15:00 Saturday & Sunday

Additional Information:

WHL will accept out-of-date welding qualifications as proof of experience, as welders will be re-tested prior to starting on site. (MMA welding certifications only)
