Job Title: Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA)
Location: Barking
Pay: £100-£120 per day
Start Date: January
Contract Type: Full-time, Long-term (with potential to become permanent)
Are you an experienced Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) looking for an exciting new role? A fantastic junior school in Barking is seeking a skilled HLTA to work across all classes from Year 3 to Year 6. This is an excellent opportunity to make a meaningful impact by supporting teaching and learning across Key Stage 2.
The ideal candidate will have:
Proven experience in a HLTA role, ideally within a junior or primary school setting.
HLTA status or an equivalent qualification.
A strong understanding of the Key Stage 2 curriculum and strategies to support effective learning.
Excellent classroom management skills and the ability to adapt to different age groups and needs.
The confidence to lead lessons and cover classes in the teacher's absence.
Strong communication and organizational skills to work effectively across multiple classes.Key responsibilities:
Supporting teachers across Year 3 to Year 6 by delivering engaging lessons and small group interventions.
Leading whole-class teaching in the absence of the class teacher.
Assisting with the planning and preparation of lessons and resources.
Supporting pupils with varying abilities, including those with additional learning needs.
Monitoring pupil progress and providing constructive feedback to teachers.
Promoting a positive and inclusive classroom environment across all Key Stage 2 classes.What Long Term Futures can offer you:
