Job Description
A health services organization in New York City is currently seeking a Data Scientist to join their growing Information Technology Department in a Remote capacity. In this role, the Data Scientist (Remote) will be responsible for analyzing large amounts of raw information to find patterns that will help improve company's business operations
Responsibilities:
The Data Scientist (Remote) will:
- Identify valuable data sources and automate collection processes.
- Undertake preprocessing of structured and unstructured data.
- Analyze large amounts of information to discover trends and patterns.
- Build predictive models and machine-learning algorithms.
- Combine models through ensemble modeling.
- Propose solutions and strategies to business challenges.
- Collaborate with engineering and product development teams.
- Create visualizations and dashboards to communicate insights effectively to non-technical stakeholders.
- Participate in the development/implementation of master data management strategies and implementation.
- Apply statistical techniques and machine learning algorithms to analyze data and make predictions.
- Collaborate with teams across the organization, including marketing, product, finance, and engineering, to address specific business challenges.
- Ensure data privacy, security, and compliance with relevant regulations (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA)
- 10+ years of relevant professional experience including proven experience as a Data Scientist
- 5 years' experience with Databricks Lakehouse Platform
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field.
- Experience in data mining.
- Experience using business intelligence tools (e.g., Tableau, PowerBi)
- Working experience with Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Machine Learning (ML)
- Knowledge of R, SQL, and Python; familiarity with Scala, Java, or C#.sql
- Experience with Agile framework & processes.
- Hands on experience on unified data analytics platform with Azure Databricks, Databricks Workspace user interface, managing Notebooks, Delta Lake with Python.
- Experience in a health care related business is a plus.
