This is a unique opportunity to transform the way the LEGO Group defines data, analytics & AI for the future!


As our Vice President for Data you will transform the way the business collects and leverages data with the intent to fuel critical decisions with invaluable insights, defining and implementing an AI strategy for both generative and traditional AI.

We have defined an ambitious Data and Analytics Strategy and Roadmap for the LEGO Group, in order to drive this strategy forward at the pace required we are looking to bring in a VP, Data & Analytics to champion the journey ahead!

Reporting directly to our global CTDO, you will be responsible for the delivery of the full roadmap, and have ultimate accountability the Data Platform, Data Lake, Data Science Center of Excellence and delivering data products, insight and AI services globally. Additionally, you will lead a team of Data Engineers & Data Scientists and report to our CDTO as a member of their leadership team.


Core Responsibilities




  • Deliver on the overall Data & Analytics strategy and roadmap




  • Lead and develop a global team of data engineers, data scientists, data manager, analytics and BI resources




  • Define and implement an AI strategy for TLG for both generative and traditional AI




  • Raise the awareness of AI within the Rest of the Organisation (business sponsors and digital product teams) to ensure that AI (predictive or generative) is being considered where appropriate to help solve problems better and deliver additional value to our business




  • Manage our current data science team and create a strategy to build out this capability to help our organisation best leverage productive and generative AI




  • Help us become a data driven business by putting data in the heart of all decisions being made




  • design and build our AI/ML products /microservices as required by our digital products




  • Design, build and run your digital science products




  • Create and implement a Data Insights Ecosystem, enabling all employees to access to information in real time, that is intuitive and user-friendly way.




  • Delivering deep insights to inform business decisions using advanced data science and modelling approaches




Do you have what it takes ?




  • Significant data, analytics and AI experience in a global environment




  • Consistent record of delivering data platforms and products and analytic services




  • Proven Data Literacy: the ability to describe business use cases/outcomes, data sources and management concepts, and analytical approaches/options




  • Understanding of how both predictive and generative AI works, familiar with where the industry is going and can provide clarity in a world that is changing so fast with a lot of hype




  • Demonstrated leadership: proven track record of leading complex, multidisciplinary teams in new endeavours and delivering solutions




  • Analytical skills: outstanding analytical and problem-solving abilities.




  • Familiarity with business information generation and analysis methods.




  • Ability to effectively drive business, culture and technology change in a dynamic and sophisticated operating environment.




  • The ability to explain digital concepts and data and analytics techniques to the business




  • Experience using Agile and DevOps to deliver solutions
