Job Description

We could use Your help! Thank you for considering us.

501c Startups & Entrepreneurial businesses get left out, blocked or both when it comes to accessing or receiving the grant opportunities and operational supports that is thrown at their "For-Profit" siblings. We've changed that by creating it ourselves.

Economic Empowerment Foundation for Exempt Startups & Small Businesses (EEF-501c)™ and its parent entity, 501c Business Incubator Council, LLC™ have expanded from a single national foundation into a growing network of more than 30 charities. While our mission of empowering 501c startups, entrepreneurs and tax-exempt small businesses into self-sufficiency remains unchanged, the single-person organization could not meet the demand for its services. So Phase I restructure results include 30+ new charities, 200+ new positions, and relocation to a capacity-friendly area that will support its continued growth and expansion that fell through at last minute thanks to Congress and its shutdown threats from last summer.

Phase II was already underway, this recruitment is part of that process. We still need to staff what we have built and establish a firm HQ to deliver the resources, business assets & other supports and services in as many languages other than English as we have a demand for.

WHAT WE NEED

, we are looking to establish a team of not more than three (3) Grant Writing /Fundraising Volunteers (GWFV). Our desired funding will support a number of Phase II actions including but not limited to securing permanent facilities, fellowships, capital construction campaigns. They will also seed fund the relaunch of several empowerment programs still on hiatus from COVID or slowly opening. At this point the priority is staffing the new charities, which themselves are startups so we can begin generating revenue an move from an unpaid/stipend operating business to a wage paying network of charities. for that we need some kick-start funding to fund initial stipends and off set the cost of helping us.

The Federal Govt consistently triggers these types of incidents and they do so with such regularity, we elevated an old consulting service into a working group forums specifically to help exempt small businesses' navigate and get past them. Meantime, we need funds at the ready as we poise ourselves to fill about 20-30 of our most mission critical volunteer-to-hire leadership, support leadership , fellowships and internships.

THE VOLUNTEER EFFORT

The GWFVs will conduct research to identify possible funding sources and develop concise, accurate PuP Partnership Proposals aligned with EEF-501c™ & each startup goal they tackle. You will also be responsible for coordinate the process and support activities involved in the submission of well-developed and compliant proposals with or in lieu of the Founder & CEO.

Must have experience:

  • a Degree in English, Communications, Business, or Marketing
  • well-proven donor program and priority knowledge that matches TLL goals, and needs
  • at least five (5) years’ experience managing the development process from crafting the initial request through proposal delivery
  • excellent organization skills with a high attention to detail
  • at least 5 years in developing letters of inquiry, proposals, and other writings to secure operating funds, capital campaign donations, in-kind gifts, or in any combination of these disciplines
  • ability to think conceptually and work independently and consultant if needed with principle in developing program concepts, letters of intent that return communication from program officers
  • ability to problem-solve, think critically and use good judgment
  • excellent proofing skills, critical for proofing previous writings of the Founder who has not problem admitting she can spell find but hates typing and has never proofed her own work well

Preference give for at least 5 years’ experience with 3 years helping start-up non-profits, associations, and or foundations secure funding AND ANYONE who is bi/multi-lingual will be invaluable as we've not begun to produce those products yet.
