Job Description
MK Search & Selection are working with a well respected mechanically biased M&E contractor with a turnover of circa £50m and a strong presence across the fit out sector delivering for leading fit out contractors who are looking for a mechanical project manager to join their business.
Reporting to a contracts manager you will be given full autonomy to manage a £2.5m mechanical cat A & cat B fit out project near Bank, central London.
Getting involved pre-construction you will take control of a talented team before going to site to deliver the scheme to completion.
Duties:
Attend Post-tender / Pre-contract review meetings with Clients & Main Contractors to discuss and agree contract scope along with both commercial and contractual matters.*
Post contract award carry out initial equipment checks alongside our design team and advise the designteam of any concerns at the earliest opportunity to avoid any procurement / programming or financial implications later.
Post contract award develop equipment procurement and buying schedules for allocated contracts, along with sending out enquiries to suppliers and subcontractors based on received contract documents for completeness and for better buying purposes.
Place subcontract & material orders to satisfy the requirements of our contracts to satisfy technical, programme, cost and quality compliances.
Monitoring of site labour and keeping a record of site activities, numbers of operatives / sub-contractors on site and cost checks against the tender estimates.
The company in question have a strong order book of repeat business with multiple leading main contractors. Sign off to pay an attractive salary or day rate on offer with a clear and achievable promotion path on offer from the outset of your tenure.
