Job Description
Park Recruit are seeking applications from experienced Technical Sales Managers for one of their successful clients, an innovative manufacturer and distributor of energy saving products to the residential and commercial construction markets. Based in NI, and covering Ireland and England, the Technical Sales Manager's role will involve promoting a waste water heat recovery system designed to recover energy lost during showering and reintegrate it into homes. The system has been available in the UK market since 2008 and has gained significant traction in residential buildings across the UK and Europe. Over 20,000 homes in the UK and more than 140,000 homes across Europe have this system installed. With the introduction of new building regulations in 2023 and the government's push for a net-zero carbon economy, the system is increasingly seen as a solution for energy compliance in new residential and commercial builds. While the business has been successful in the residential sector, there is a significant opportunity for growth within the commercial sector, including hotels, offices, hospitals, and more. Summary: This role is designed for M&E consultants looking to take a hands-on approach to specification and consultative selling, building a business within a business. The primary clients will be larger M&E contractors, with a focus on navigating the specification route to market, especially through M&E consultants. The individual will identify target consultants, deliver impactful presentations, establish strong relationships, and ensure specifications convert to sales. This role offers a high level of autonomy within a structured communication framework as the team expands. Additionally, the individual will contribute to strategic business development, driving growth in new sectors like retrofit, in alignment with the government's decarbonization goals. Requirements: *Essential* - M&E qualification, and have experience working within a practice working in the commercial construction sector, with a desire to move away from the desk and create a new business. Open mind to a transition to an entrepreneurial sales lead business with the opportunity to create a team and grow a new sustainable business within a business. Proven experience in developing & managing client relationships with key stakeholders such as contractors, architects, and engineers. Lead Generation. Construction Industry Knowledge - Familiarity with construction products, market trends, and the construction supply chain. Understanding of Regulations - Awareness of building regulations, compliance standards, and sustainability practices. Technical Knowledge - Strong grasp of the technical specifications of construction materials or products, especially if selling complex systems like HVAC, insulation, or energy-efficient solutions.
