Quantity Surveyor - Construction, residential

Job Overview
A highly skilled Quantity Surveyor is sought to join a growing team based in Farnham, responsible for managing the contractual and financial aspects of construction projects.

The organisation operates as a main contractor, property developer, and house builder, delivering a range of residential projects throughout Surrey, Hampshire, and West Sussex. Projects include high-end new builds and extensive refurbishments.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop detailed cost estimates and project budgets
• Conduct feasibility studies to assess requirements for materials, labour, and time
• Evaluate and negotiate subcontractor tenders
• Oversee project costs and contractual obligations through all project stages
• Maintain precise financial records and manage overall project finances
• Provide expert guidance on contractual claims and dispute resolution

Requirements

• A degree in Quantity Surveying or a similar field is beneficial but not essential
• Demonstrated experience as a Quantity Surveyor in the construction industry
• Strong analytical and numerical abilities
• High attention to detail
• Proficiency in cost control and contract management

Projects are located across Surrey, Hampshire, and West Sussex, and some travel will be required.

Benefits and Remuneration

• Job Type: Full-time
• Salary: £50,000 - £65,000 per annum, based on experience
• Additional Benefits: On-site parking
