The Role Ocho have been retained to search for an Intermediate Python Engineer ideally with some AWS experience to join this pioneering NI/UK secure start up team. This fully remote role offers you the chance to work on impactful projects that truly make a difference in the world. You'll be at the forefront of developing and enhancing cloud-based solutions on AWS, playing a key role in ensuring that vital financial aid reaches those who need it most. Key Responsibilities Design, develop, and deploy cloud-native solutions on AWS that support the distribution of financial aid. Optimize and manage databases to ensure performance and reliability in critical applications. Write clean, efficient, and scalable Python code, tailored for serverless environments. Utilize Infrastructure as Code tools like AWS SAM or Terraform to automate and streamline deployment processes. Quickly diagnose and resolve technical issues, ensuring smooth operation of essential services. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand requirements, propose technical solutions, and execute projects efficiently. Stay updated on industry developments, recommending best practices to enhance system performance and security. Qualifications Bachelors degree in Computer Science or a related field. 1-3+ years of hands-on experience in Python development Strong expertise in relational databases such as RDS, Aurora, or PostgreSQL. Nice to haves Experience with AWS Lambda and Step Functions for creating serverless applications. Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot within cloud environments. Strong communication and teamwork abilities, with experience working in cross-functional teams. Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices for continuous integration and automated deployments. Whats in It for You? Competitive salary up to £50k.
