We are looking for individuals with the ability to identify risks and analyse information to join the Offender Management Unit in the role of Intelligence Research and Briefing Officer (IRBO). This is an opportunity to make a real difference to people's lives by helping to manage the highest risk offenders in our communities.
AsIntelligence Research and Briefing Officer, you will be responsible for:
The development and provision of timely, accurate and reliable briefing items.
Completing Pre-visit police checks to operational staff regarding Multi-agency Public Protection Arrangements (MAPPA) offenders and other high-risk issues.
Providing information to Public Protection colleagues and partner agencies, including being a point of contact for local and national enquiries in respect of the Violent and Sex Offender Register and MAPPA offenders.
If you have experience of producing written briefings and/or reports to inform management decision making alongside experience of dealing with sensitive/confidential information and you are committed to delivering a high level of servicewe would like to hear from you!
Requirements:
To be successful you will:
- Be committed to delivering a high level of service with the ability to work as part of a team as well as under your own initiative.
- Manage your time effectively to meet specific deadlines, whilst always maintaining accuracy and quality of data.
- Be able to collate, review and disseminate information from a range of sources.
- Have a passion for communicating with a range of diverse customers.
- Be talented in using various IT systems including Microsoft Office.
- Have experience of dealing with sensitive/confidential information.
- Be able to interrogate IT systems, identify risks and analyse information to produce appropriate level of documentation for Force requirements.
- Have an awareness of the practical application of risk assessment processes and a willingness to achieve national accreditation.
