Shunter Driver AM Shift

We have a fantastic opportunity for a Shunter Driver to join our dynamic team in Westerleigh, Bristol.

Job Title: Shunter Driver

Competitive Pay Rate

Working Hours: 5:00 am to 13:30 pm - Monday to Friday

Key Responsibilities:

• Conducting daily tug/trailers inspections, immediately reporting any defects and/or damage to the supervisor/manager, and completing associated documentation in line with the company policy
• Check if tug/trailers are correctly fuelled and fuel when required.
• Check trailers temperatures.
• Liaising with the despatch, yard, dolav wash, and goods in staff to ensure smooth and efficient loading/unloading of trailers.
• Observing and adhering to company rules, site procedures, and all aspects of Health & Safety and Hygiene at all times
• Assist with Forklift operator duties (loading/unloading Dolavs and Pallets from/to the trailers) when shunting is not required.

You Will Need To:

• have previous Shunting experience is ideal but not essential as full training is available to the right candidates.
• be able to work efficiently within a fast-paced and pressured environment
• have the ability to communicate effectively with drivers and colleagues.
• be able to complete documentation accurately and on time.
• have a high level of Health and Safety Awareness.
• have Forklift Truck Licence Beneficial but not essential as full training will be provided
