Estimator

MYM Recruitment are thrilled to be working with our existing Draperstown who now require an Estimatorto cover a maternity payment. The successful candidate will work closely with Office Manager and Senior Estimator with responsibility for developing accurate quotes by liaising with clients, sales people and estimators. The role will also involve working closely with other estimators to ensure accuracy of their quotes. Key Duties/Responsibilities include but may not be limited to: To assess material, labour and plant requirements To prepare correspondence to various parties for purposes of obtaining estimates To liaise with sub-contractors and suppliers to obtain package estimates To review and assess tenders ensuring all tender documents are received and correct To resolve cost discrepancies by collecting and analysing information To plan and organise work efficiently to meet project deadlines To work in accordance with company Integrated Management System standards To prepare relevant reports To update information as required To maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending training To always represent and implement an excellent Public Relations and professional image of HBL to our clients, design teams, general public and within HBL To undertake other tasks as and when required. Essential Criteria: Good educational attainment including min GCSE/equivalent Mathematics & English At least 3 years employment in Estimating capacity Excellent IT skills and conversant with standard software packages and estimating software Excellent organisational skills and ability to manage deadlines Skills: Tender Submission Estimating Cost Planning
