Job Description

Expert Construction welcome applications for this Permanent position , based in the Magherafelt area. Working with a Manufacturer to the Construction industry, this role offers a prime opportunity to work with one of Northern Ireland's tip tier Companies. Purpose: Responsibility for managing the contractual and financial elements of the construction project whilst achieving standards and quality. Key Responsibilities: To assess material, labour and equipment requirements To correspond with various parties for purposes of obtaining quotes To undertake cost analysis To assess contracts for potential risks / liabilities To work with HML contracts delivery Teams to mitigate risks To procure materials, services, labour, equipment etc To control costs during construction process To liaise with sub-contractors, agreeing work plan and conditions To value interim and completed work and arrange payments To value change, assess claims and agree final accounts To prepare regular costing reports To plan and organise work efficiently to meet project deadlines To work in accordance with company IMS standards To highlight cost anomalies To liaise with consultants, subcontractors, supervisors, site management involved in the project To liaise with clients and their representatives, including attending regular meetings and keeping them informed of progress To maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending training To always represent and implement an excellent Public Relations and professional image of HML to our clients, design teams, general public and within HBL Any other duties within reason and capability associated with this role. Essential Criteria: At least 5 years experience with minimum 3 years in main contractor role Excellent communicator Confident dealing with clients, subcontractors and site teams Good Negotiation Skills Experience of working with JCT & NEC Contracts Strong IT skills and working experience on a range of IT packages Excellent organisational skills and ability to manage deadlines Current valid UK driving licence Desirable: Accreditation of a professional body eg RICS, CIOB Experience working with Site Management Software eg.
