Job Description
Pertemps are currently on behalf of our Client for an experienced FLM
The position is based at The Range, Stafford ST18 9AR.
Reporting into Shift Manager
Salary £29k, temp to perm after 12 weeks
As a FLM you will:
Support the Shift Manager to achieve an efficient and effective operation, meeting goals and objectives.
Work for continuous improvement in line with H&S guidelines and site procedures and processes
Plan, manage and adjust staffing levels to meet operational requirements
Direct the daily activity to ensure a safe, secure, clean and fair work environment for team members
Facilitate effective communication and relationships both inter shift and other departmental functions
Reduce costs by effective management of hours and work at all times
Personal hygiene and appearance to be maintained at a professional and acceptable standard at all times
Ensure effective control of MHE usage to ensure minimal damage providing evidence of spot checks
Ensure compliance to Standard Operating Procedures (SOP's) in ecommerce Work in collaboration with other DHL sites to maximise efficiencies and best practice
Ensure company policies are communicated, applied, and enforced
Organise and lead the focus on improved productivity levels using coaching and mentoring skills
Contribute to site continuous improvement agenda
The ideal FLM will have the following skills and experience:
Experience of management at senior level
Experience of PI and CI methodologies
Understanding of best practices
Prepare KPI reports, ensuring accurate reporting to the Contract General Manager
Team Management in ecommerce
Has been trained in all First Choice Methodology
Staff management from discipline and performance measures to co-ordinating workload and hygiene
Warehouse experience preferred
