Health and Safety Advisor

£28,000 - £35,000

Kidderminster, Worcestershire

Full-time

The Role:

In this role, you'll support and advise staff at all levels, assisting the Operations Manager in upholding the highest standards of quality, safety, and employee welfare.

Health and Safety Advisor Duties:

  • Review and update the company's Health and Safety Policy, ensuring compliance with all relevant legislation and regulations.
  • Address potential or actual environmental impacts from operations across different business units.
  • Assist with accident investigations, implementing corrective actions, and providing guidance on incident reporting.
  • Assess third-party suppliers and subcontractors to ensure they meet our safety standards.
  • Ensure all new starters are properly inducted and aware of their SHEQ responsibilities. Deliver toolbox talks to managers and team leaders as needed.
  • Maintain ISO accreditation by working towards annual objectives and targets, and ensure all procedures are audited.
  • Manage and monitor the Group's waste transfer process.
  • Assist with insurance, quality surveillance audits, and any related tasks.

Health and Safety Advisor Requirements:

  • Thorough understanding of Company and Health & Safety policies.
  • A working knowledge of UK Health and Safety Law and upcoming changes.
  • Familiarity with ISO, Quality, Health, Safety, and Environmental standards.
  • NEBOSH and IOSH certifications are required
