Dornish Law Offices, P.C. is a growing, currently eight lawyer Wexford law firm with business, real estate and construction litigation and transactional, estate planning and probate practices. Our offices are located in a building with free parking, open, airy hallways, private offices with window walls, convenient to Routes 19 and 79. We have a support ratio of two lawyers per administrative staff, a collegial atmosphere, flexible hours in the office, 24-hour IT support for work from outside the office and run on a 110 billable hour per lawyer per month model. The firm offers paid vacation, sick time, a firm paid 401k, contribution to health insurance, firm paid life and disability coverages.


Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role based in Wexford, PA for a Senior Litigation Attorney at Dornish Law Offices, P.C. The role involves handling a caseload of mostly non-jury litigation matters in the fields of real estate including HOA and Seller Disclosure, Partition and Quiet Title Actions, Construction and Business cases from inception through appellate practice, mostly in state courts throughout Southwest PA, but some in Federal Court and Commercial and Construction Arbitration, conducting legal research, drafting legal documents, attending court hearings, and providing legal advice and representation to clients. Managing Attorneys meet regularly with litigators to review progress on each case and balance each attorney's workload, and junior and senior attorneys frequently work together in a team approach to larger matters.


Qualifications

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school
  • Active license to practice law in the state of Pennsylvania
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in civil litigation including trial work
  • Demonstrated proficiency in legal research, writing, and oral advocacy
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to manage a high-volume caseload and work independently
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Attention to detail and strong organizational skills
  • Experience with alternative dispute resolution methods is a plus
