Board of Directors Member - Resource Development Committee

Job Description
The Resource Development Committee is a standing committee of the PCC Board. The
Committee collaborates with PCC leadership and staff to set the vision for
the resource development strategy; serves as external representatives of PCC to
develop relationships and enhance PCC’s reputation within the community; serves
as internal spokespersons for the importance of Board participation in
philanthropy; and coordinates with other committees whose scope influences
resource development (e.g. External Affairs, and Finance Committee) to align
activities across the board.
PCC is seeking an individual with the following skillset and competencies:
- Relationship Building
- Fundraising
- Donor Analysis
- Communications & Marketing
- Research
The all-volunteer board meets five times per year, including four 2-hour
business meetings (held in-person at the PCC offices in Silver Spring, MD: February,
April, June, December) and one day-long retreat (September). If you are
selected as a Board member, you would be asked to serve on the Resource
Development Committee which meets at least four times per year, scheduled
around member convenience.
